The drawing on the 1st page of this site is of the door to an old-fashioned Music Publishing Company. And, like that Music Publishing Company, the simple purpose of this site is to make songs available to anyone who might want to hear them or have a look at them – whether that person is a "professional" or not.

There are no commercial ads on this site. The tempo is slow.

The SONGS FOR YOO TOO DOO section (please excuse the spelling – I couldn’t resist the rhyme) is the heart of the site. You can hear samples of songs in mp3 or you can download the leadsheets or the lyrics.
But there are several other buttons you can click on as well.

Because people sometimes ask me about hard-to-get CD’s, they’re here, with audio samples of each. And there’s a button called FREE MUSIC. The things available here should change every once in a while. You can download musical oddities, unreleased stuff, etc. – for free.

And there are BIO, DISCOGRAPHY and REVIEWS buttons, handled by the office Publicist, because some people actually like facts and dates and all that trivia.

Some other websites have been kind enough to list this web address and so there’s a button called LINKS in reciprocation and appreciation of their generosity

Finally, if you’d like to contact me, or David, our Webmaster, you can find us under CONTACTS.

I sometimes get letters from people "out there" in cyberspace. I love to get
them. This is one of my favorites:

"Dear John:

I am not very music savvy, but I ran into the recording, "Rock and Roll is an Open Wound" in a music store in Portland, Oregon. I work in a maximum security institution which houses young men from 15 to 25 years of age. I am the alcohol and drug treatment coordinator and co-facilitate a violent offender program. I play your song for my treatent groups to help them recognize what has happened in their lives and how to identify their feelings. They have incredible response to the words. They cry... they become angry, but after debriefing what they are feeling after listening to the words, they are willing to talk about their difficult years that no one ever really understood. I have been grateful for this song for a long time and never knew how to tell you what you have done for a huge number of angry young men who are looking for answers. They begin to understand why they pass those feelings on to their victims.

I guess what I would really like to say to you is thank you for the words and the understanding of young people who want an understanding of who they are and why they feel the way they do!"

The writer signed her name, but, since I haven't been able to get ini touch with her to thank her for this letter, I won't include her name here. I'm real proud of that letter.

Happy listening!!

John Simon
